School Leadership

A dedicated and passionate educational practitioner, with extensive experience in both UK and UAE independent schools. As Head of FS1, I bring a strong commitment to early years education, with a particular focus on the power of play and exploration as key drivers of meaningful learning. I am passionate about creating rich, engaging environments that nurture holistic development and spark children’s natural curiosity. Central to my approach is a deep dedication to supporting children’s mental well-being ensuring every child feels safe, valued, and empowered during these vital early years. I enjoy practicing yoga, exploring new travel destinations and going to the theatre. I also love quality time with my family and dog.

An experienced educator in the UK and UAE, I have taught all year groups from FS1 to Year 3, leading Key Stage 1, Year 2, Year 1 and FS2 across a range of subjects including phonics, as well as mentoring early career teachers and coaching teaching assistants in qualifications. I am passionate about creating learning opportunities that cater to individual children’s interests, allowing them to thrive and achieve their greatest potential. As Head of FS2 I take pride in building positive relationships with parents. Beyond the classroom, I love keeping fit, travelling to new countries, reading and walking my dog.

I have significant experience teaching across Key Stage 1 and 2 and have held leadership positions as a phase leader for Key Stage 2, Key Stage 1 and Foundation Stage. A Head of Year at RGSGD for a number of years, apart from focussing on holistic child development, I am particularly interested in looking at ways that technology can enhance teaching and learning. I am a passionate equestrian, competing locally and rescuing horses who need loving homes. I also have too many cats due to my inability to turn down an animal in need.

I began my career in the UK before moving to Dubai, where I have taught across Key Stage 1 and 2. Throughout my career, I have held a range of leadership positions, including Assistant Head Teacher, Head of MSC, and Head of Able, Gifted and Talented. At RGSGD, I am committed to maintaining high standards in all areas of teaching and learning. In Year 2, I strive to provide a balanced and engaging curriculum with strong links to real life, helping children see the relevance of their learning beyond the classroom. My classroom is a nurturing environment where learners are engaged, supported, and empowered to thrive, and where every child is recognised and valued for their unique talents and contributions. Outside of school, I enjoy outdoor activities such as running, hiking, and cycling. I also have a keen interest in travelling and anything related to animals.

My teaching career started in the UK before relocating to the UAE, where I have significant experience in Lower Key Stage 2 as a class teacher and in middle leadership roles. I am passionate about contributing to the development of teaching and learning at RGSGD. I have a keen interest in Formula 1 and motorsports and I enjoy combining this with my love of reading and travelling, whether it’s exploring the history of racing through books/movies or visiting iconic circuits and destinations around the world.
