Year 7 pupils meet a very special guest whilst volunteering to pack relief supplies, helping people affected by earthquakes in Turkiye & Syria

RGS Guildford Dubai pupils were honoured to meet His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan, Sheikh Maktoum and many other members of the Royal Family at the Bridges for Giving campaign.
Our pupils were amongst 2000 volunteers at the Dubai World Trade Centre for the Bridges of Giving campaign in collaboration with Emirates Red Crescent – launched to help victims of the devastating earthquakes in Turkiye & Syria.
His Highness signed postcards of hope, written by our Year 7 pupils to go with relief packages that will be sent to help those in need. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, was also seen participating and packing food boxes.The royal family’s children also helped to pack relief supplies, putting various items in boxes alongside the volunteers.
